This policy explains what personal information this website and this advisory practice collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written for a sole-proprietor consulting practice operating from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, and follows the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made under it.
Who we are. Rakesh Jain, sole proprietor, operating a business advisory practice from Indore, Madhya Pradesh. Contact details are at the end of this page and in the footer of every page.
What we collect
Information you give us. Your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, the name and nature of your business, your city, and anything you choose to write in a form, a message or an email. If you book a Business Clarity Call, the booking is handled by Cal.com and you provide your name, email and a preferred time to them.
Information collected automatically. If analytics are enabled, aggregate and pseudonymous usage data — pages viewed, approximate location at city level, device type, referring site, and how you moved through the page. We do not use this to identify you personally.
Payment information. If you ever pay for a service, payment is processed by Razorpay. Card numbers, UPI IDs, bank details and similar payment credentials go directly to Razorpay and its banking partners. We never see or store them. We only receive confirmation of whether a payment succeeded, the amount, and a reference number.
What we do not collect. We do not collect sensitive personal data such as caste, religion, health or biometric information. Please do not send it to us. We do not ask for or store your business’s financial documents on this website — any documents shared during an engagement are handled separately and under the confidentiality terms of that engagement.
Why we use it
- To reply to you, arrange a call, and carry out the advisory work you have asked for.
- To keep you on a waitlist you have asked to join, and to tell you when that programme opens.
- To send the WhatsApp Channel or email updates you have opted into, and nothing else.
- To keep records required by Indian tax and accounting law.
- To understand, in aggregate, which parts of this website are useful.
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not share your phone number with other clients, with vendors, or with any list.
Who else processes it
| Service | What it handles | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Cal.com | Booking a Clarity Call — name, email, time | EU / USA |
| Razorpay | Payments, if and when you make one | India |
| Google Analytics 4 | Aggregate website usage, IP anonymised | USA |
| Microsoft Clarity | Aggregate page interaction | USA |
| WhatsApp (Meta) | Messages you send, and Channel following | Global |
| Website hosting | Serving these pages | Global CDN |
Each of these has its own privacy policy. Following the WhatsApp Channel does not reveal your number to us or to other followers — that is how WhatsApp Channels are built.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies of its own. If analytics are enabled, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity set their own cookies to count visits. The Cal.com booking embed loads only when you scroll to it and may set cookies at that point. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the site will still work.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and waitlist entries are kept for up to three years from your last contact with us, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever is earlier. Records connected to a paid engagement are kept for eight years, as Indian tax law requires. Analytics data is retained for fourteen months.
Confidentiality
Anything you tell us about your business — in a call, in a Baithak sitting, or in writing — stays with us. It is not repeated to other clients, not used as a case study, and not published on this website without your written permission. This is a professional obligation of the practice, separate from and stricter than what this policy requires.
Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may ask us to: tell you what personal data of yours we hold and who it has been shared with; correct or complete anything inaccurate; erase data we no longer need; withdraw a consent you gave earlier; or nominate someone to exercise these rights if you are unable to. Write to the contact address below and we will respond within thirty days.
Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it, and we may still keep what tax law obliges us to keep.
Children
This practice serves business owners. The website is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data about children.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will inform you and the Data Protection Board as the DPDP Act requires.
Grievances
If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, write to the Grievance Officer for this practice:
Grievance Officer: Rakesh Jain
Contact details are in the footer of every page on this site. We aim to acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within 30 days. If you remain unsatisfied, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version appears on this page with a new date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use data you have already given us will also be communicated directly.
